Leith Athletic Football Club wishes to announce that Eugene Taylor is stepping down from his position as Team Manager.  Eugene is taking a break after 12 years in the East of Scotland Football League after representing, Craigroyston, Pencaitland, and playing and managing Edinburgh Athletic and of course Leith.
Colin Tomassi the team coach is also stepping down to continue his excellent work as Club Development Officer with in the boys club. Leith Athletic would like to say we are  extremely  grateful for Eugene giving Leith the opportunity at East of Scotland level and of course giving us the clubs first trophy within the 2 year strategy something we haven’t managed to do  previously as an amateur club. We wish Eugene all the very best in the future.

The club have appointed a new management team from within the boys club, Willie Macfarlane and Derek Riddel from our hugely successful under 19 team; both guys will take up the reins ASAP, and have already started to plan ahead for next season. The club has also set up a new venture by entering an under 19 team in the East of Scotland league, the club would like to welcome both Willie and Derek into the senior set up.

Project Leith Links:

The club have now attended 2 meetings to show the East of Scotland committee are proposals short, mid and long term. The EOS reps came down to the links to check the existing facilities and our plans to upgrade. We have had loads of messages of support from most of the league teams in both EOS divisions. We are now waiting to hear back after a report will be presented to the league for the Clubs and the Committee to decide if we are successful with our proposal to play at the Links. If not we will continue to play at the Civil Service Sports ground who have looked after us for many seasons.
