In the biggest game of the weekend, our under 21's match against Camelon Juniors eventually took place and was played to a finish. After the initial ninety minutes finished at 1-1, we went on to win the game 2-1 after extra time, with the goals coming from Matty Watson and Bobe Boyd. This win, sees the team reach the last eight of the Lady Darling Cup, where an away tie to The Celtic BC awaits.
With our under 17's Scottish Cup match postponed, the only other game on Saturday, were our under 19's against Hunterfield BC. A 7-1 win sees the team remain in second place in their league section, two points behind the leaders, but with a game in hand.
On Sunday morning, there were three games at Leith Links, where we unfortunately suffered three defeats. Our under 13's lost 6-1 to Tynecastle FC, with the under 14's losing 4-3, also to Tynecastle FC. The under 14's 1998's lost 6-3 to Musselburgh Windsor Colts in the quarter-finals of the South East Region Cup. The other game on Sunday morning seen our under 14's Whites win 4-2 away to Bonnyrigg to continue their impressive form in 2012.
Sunday afternoon seen both our 15's and 16's playing at home in league matches. The under 15's won 8-2 against Craigroyston, which keeps them at the top of their league section and the under 16's lost 4-2 to North Berwick Colts.
In the last game to be played at Leith Links this weekend, our new Ladies team played their first match under club. We won 8-1 against a strong Edinburgh City team and Eric and his team were delighted with their first game for the club. More information will follow on the female section at the club in due course, but we now have a team competing at under 11's, under 13's and of course our ladies team.
